An Update about Pastor Christopher

Grace and peace to you this warm and beautiful day. I come to you today with news of an upcoming change in our pastoral staff. We wanted to let you know this in advance of Sunday.

Our District Superintendent, Rev. Susan Brims has sent us a letter (click here) to announce this change. Please take a moment to read it before you go on.

Pastor Christopher has been central to our ministry at Paradise Valley UMC. Many of you have been stirred by his preaching and influenced by his friendship. He has married, baptized, buried, sorrowed, and celebrated with you. Pastor Christopher, Ingrid, and Dorothy are central to our community at PV.

We have witnessed Christopher grow as a leader, and now his leadership and spiritual depth is needed in a new role: as Senior Pastor of another church. His new church will benefit and grow as he shepherds them forward.

I hope you will take time in the weeks to come to let him know how much his life has touched yours. We will miss him. And, we will be celebrating his ministry among us in the days to come, as well as congratulating him for this advancement. Thank you for all the ways you are cheering him on. And please be in prayer for Pastor Christopher, Ingrid, and Dorothy as they navigate the coming change.
